Hi, I’m the Spooky Cat Lady—the writer, artist, photographer, and skeptical paranormal investigator behind darkwhimsicalart.

I’ve always been drawn to haunted places, creepy stories, horror, unusual history, and the possibility that there may be more to our world than we currently understand. But I’m not interested in calling every creaking floorboard a ghost. I approach paranormal investigations with curiosity, skepticism, and a determination to separate genuine mysteries from equipment glitches, environmental causes, folklore, and plain old spooky nonsense.

On Dark Whimsical Ghosts, I investigate allegedly haunted locations, test ghost-hunting equipment, examine strange videos and evidence, explore haunted history, and ask the question at the center of it all: Are ghosts real?

On Spooky Cat Lady Travels, I share unusual destinations, haunted hotels, historic locations, conventions, roadside curiosities, and other adventures for travelers who prefer their vacations with a little more atmosphere.

I also create dark and whimsical art, write horror and paranormal stories, review creepy books and creative products, and design spooky items for people who believe Halloween should never be limited to one month.

My goal is to connect with other curious souls, encourage people to explore what fascinates them, and show that you can love the paranormal without believing every bump in the night is a ghost.
