Jason Hawes Launches GoFundMe to Save The Conjuring House

The Conjuring House

If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting the infamous Conjuring House in Harrisville, Rhode Island, you probably know how important this property is to the paranormal community. It’s the home that inspired The Conjuring movie franchise and the place where the Perron family allegedly endured years of terrifying activity in the 1970s—claims that drew in famed investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren and cemented the house’s place in paranormal history.

But now, the Conjuring House faces an uncertain future. The property is heading to auction on October 31, and there’s a genuine fear it could fall into the wrong hands—turned into nothing more than a profit machine or locked away entirely. That’s where Jason Hawes, co-founder of Ghost Hunters and one of the most recognized names in paranormal investigation, has stepped up.

A Plea From Andrea Perron

Jason shared in a recent video that Andrea Perron, one of the daughters who lived through the original haunting, reached out directly. She pleaded with him to reconsider getting involved with saving the house, worried about what might happen if the property was bought by someone who doesn’t care about its history or its meaning to the paranormal field.

And Jason listened.

While he admitted he never had any interest in buying the Conjuring House before, he now agrees that the community can’t just stand by. Too many historic haunted locations have been lost—or priced so high they’re only accessible to wealthy influencers or production companies.

The Plan to Save The Conjuring House

Jason has officially launched a GoFundMe campaign to save the Conjuring House, with the goal of raising enough funds to win the property at auction. He’s committed to investing his own money as well, but stressed that this effort has to be a community movement.

His vision?

  • Form an LLC if successful.

  • Involve people tied to the Conjuring House’s history in daily operations.

  • Restore and preserve the farmhouse.

  • Open it up so everyone—not just those who can afford thousands of dollars a night—can visit, investigate, and experience the home.

Jason made it clear: this isn’t about making a profit. Every dollar raised will go toward purchasing, repairing, and maintaining the house. If donations exceed what’s needed, the extra funds will go directly into upkeep and restoration. If enough is not raised, refunds will be issued.

Why This Matters

The Conjuring House has become more than just a building. It’s a meeting ground for believers, skeptics, and investigators from every walk of life. It’s inspired countless discussions, investigations, and even careers in the paranormal field. To lose it—or see it turned into a cash grab—would be a loss for the entire community.

Jason summed it up best: “This is our last chance to save it… but I can’t do it alone.”

How You Can Help

If you’d like to support the effort, you can check out the official GoFundMe page . Even if you can’t donate, spreading the word helps ensure this historic home stays preserved for future generations of paranormal investigators, historians, and yes—even skeptics.

The clock is ticking. With the auction just weeks away, it’s up to the paranormal community—and anyone who values history—to step in and make sure the Conjuring House remains what it was always meant to be: a place for everyone to experience, learn, and connect with the unexplained.

Check out our video at the Conjuring House, which we paid $1200 to visit. Insane! I hope Jason can stop this highway robbery from happening again. We did an honest investigation, which means it might not be as entertaining as other YouTubers, but at least it is real. A Part Two will be coming out soon.
