My Creepy Christmas Horror Movie Advent Calendar

🎄 My Creepy Christmas Horror Movie Advent Calendar

Because Who Needs Hallmark Movies When You Can Watch Santa Commit Crimes?

Every December, most people curl up with hot chocolate and wholesome holiday movies. Very sweet. Very normal. Meanwhile, I’m over here piling up creature features, killer Santas, and movies where the holiday spirit means “try not to die before New Year’s.”

So this year, I put together something extra special for all my fellow spooky cats:
A 25-day Creepy Christmas Horror Movie Advent Calendar
Think of it like an advent calendar—except instead of chocolate, you get emotional damage and questionable life choices.

And yes, I included the must-watch movies like Gremlins, Krampus, and the new Terrifier 3. The rest? A carefully curated mix of classics, chaos, and “who approved this script?”

Let’s dive in.

---

🎁 1. Terrifier 3: The Christmas One

Starting strong with festive terror. Nothing like a demonic clown holiday special to set the mood.

🎁 2. Gremlins

If you don’t watch this at Christmas, are you even celebrating? Little chaos monsters doing holiday violence—pure joy.

🎁 3. The Nightmare Before Christmas

The perfect “transition movie” for those of us emotionally stuck in October.

🎁 4. Krampus (2015)

A must-watch every year. Gingerbread demons. Murder toys. The worst family gathering ever filmed.

🎁 5. Black Christmas (1974)

Creepy, subtle, and unsettling. A classic slasher wrapped in tinsel.

🎁 6. Black Christmas (2006)

Same setting, but more gore and way more questionable choices. Delicious.

🎁 7. Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)

Santa’s having a real bad day and takes it out on everyone.

🎁 8. Silent Night (2012)

A modern, brutal retelling. The Christmas spirit is… sharp.

🎁 9. A Christmas Horror Story (2015)

A chaotic holiday anthology, plus Krampus absolutely throwing down with Santa. A masterpiece.

🎁 10. Rare Exports (2010)

A Finnish “we dug up Santa and made a huge mistake” movie. This one sticks with you.

🎁 11. Better Watch Out (2016)

A twisty home-invasion movie that makes Home Alone look like training wheels.

🎁 12. The Advent Calendar (2021)

A possessed advent calendar that demands obedience. As if the holidays weren’t controlling enough.

🎁 13. Anna and the Apocalypse (2017)

A Christmas zombie musical. Somehow adorable and terrifying at the same time.

🎁 14. The Children (2008)

Never trust kids at Christmas. Or anytime. But especially Christmas.

🎁 15. Violent Night (2022)

Santa goes full John Wick and honestly? I support him. Give that man more cookies.

🎁 16. Red Christmas (2016)

Dee Wallace vs. a holiday intruder. Perfect for when your own family is acting up.

🎁 17. Dead End (2003)

A family road trip gets progressively weirder and deadlier. Perfect for holiday travel vibes.

🎁 18. Wind Chill (2007)

Snow, ghosts, isolation… basically every winter nightmare rolled into one.

🎁 19. Sint / Saint (2010)

Dutch zombie Saint Nicholas, because of course that’s a thing.

🎁 20. Jack Frost (1997)

Not the sweet snowman movie. The other one. The very other one.

🎁 21. P2 (2007)

Creepy parking garage thriller set on Christmas Eve. This one hits close to home for anyone who’s ever left work after dark.

🎁 22. The Day of the Beast (1995)

A priest tries to stop the Antichrist from arriving on Christmas. Honestly, an underrated holiday comedy.

🎁 23. All Through the House (2015)

Slasher Santa doing what slasher Santas do.

🎁 24. The Mean One (2022)

The Grinch… but feral. Bless whoever thought of this.

🎁 25. Christmas Bloody Christmas (2022)

Robot Santa goes rogue. A perfect finale for a season of escalating nonsense.

If anyone ever tells you Christmas horror isn’t a “real tradition,” tell them your spooky internet friend said it absolutely is—and it’s cheaper than therapy.
