Is the Snorkeling Good at Coco Cay Royal Caribbean's Private Island

Yes! The snorkeling on Royal Caribbean's private island Coco Cay can be great if everything is working in your favor.  One time we went to Coco Cay the water was full of jelly fish, big ones. I am not a fan of jelly fish so that trip I stayed out of the water.

The next trip, at first, the water was very choppy. The lifeguards were not allowing anyone passed the rocks, but that is where you need to go to get to the shipwreck. Later in the day, the tide went out and the water calmed down so we were able to go out further. It took a while, but we found the shipwreck and boy there are a lot of fish around it.

The beach you want to go to is Chill beach. You can rent gear at the Snorkel Shack for about $20. I recommend buying your own. We spent about $80 on ours and use them every time we go to Coco Cay.

You have to go passed the rocks to get to the shipwreck. There are two platforms floating way out. The one on the right is where the shipwreck is located. The water is clearer the farther out you get from the shore. Close to the water's entrance it is pretty cloudy. In the live stream below I point out where the shipwreck is located.
